Hermana Luna creates healing gardens using permaculture practices to address the needs of the community and the ecosystems.

Hermana Luna utilizes permaculture methods that synchronize with the patterns of nature and regeneration of healthy ecosystems. We believe that practices like tilling, pesticides, and monocropping degrade the fertility of the soil and creates a system that is unsustainable. The selection of plants utilized in these gardens are easily accessible and can be adapted to the climate of the RGV. In addition they are intentionally selected based on research demonstrating their ability to prevent or reverse chronic illnesses such as diabetes, cancer, and heart disease. We collaborate with local farmers and connect with ancestral instincts of cultivating our own food in order to meet our nutritional needs, collaborate with our community and respect nature.
